- Theme: Small and marginal farmers economic sustainability
Problem Statement:
India’s small and medium farm size farmers who account for 70% of the country’s farmer base are not able to get the right
price at the right time in the right place for all their farm produce. Your hackathon solution outcome should help a farmer
economically sustainable. - Some Guideline to work with:
- Do good researches on comparative price of one farm produce e.g. Maize, Pulses, Wheat, Groundnuts or Millet at
different markets or APMC in a given taluk or district, say Belgaum district. - Consider the input costs of the farmer in growing a crop in one Quintal of a selected produce.
- You can consider farmer a growing Maize, Farmer B growing Chili and Farmer C growing Millet.
- Include the transportation cost form farm land to an APMC in the radius of 20 – 50 Km from the farm land.
- Arrive at a final price.
- Identify the top 3 APMCs to sell the produce.
- Use platforms like Devpost or Google Forms for project submissions.
- You can include a project description, demo video (3-5 minutes) and links to code repositories or prototypes.
- Timeline: 1 week to work together and find an innovative solution.30 min to make the presentation.
Expectations from the live presentation and demo are - Show your project in action.
- Key features and functionality.
- How it solves the given problem effectively.
- A real-world scenario or use case to make it relatable.
- Briefly describe how it works (tech stack, innovative algorithms, and unique features).
- Keep your presentation within the allotted time
- Use slides, diagrams, or screen recordings to support your demo.
- Frame your solution as a story to make it more engaging.
- Avoid information overload; focus on what makes your solution stand out.
Good luck with your hackathon. Go for it and do it right first time. Wish you all the best.
